In the past I was often asked to do a "special" for someone who had a particular problem in riding a two wheel bike either through illness, injury or, indeed, age.

I'm sorry to say that, normally, I just didn't have the time and had to say no.  However, the Vector is my take on a possible solution for many of the problems and difficulties which were reported to me.

The straightforward information is that the Vector uses an easy to remove 36 Volt 10Ah Lithium Ion Battery Pack along with a 250 Watt U.K. Legal Motor in the 20" Front Wheel and 16" wheels at the rear.

The unique thing about the Vector though is that it Tilts!   What's the biggest problem with normal trikes? Getting around corners!  The Vector uses a patented tilting system so that when you lean or any sudden change of direction is made, the front section of the bike tilts but the rear wheels remain on the ground flat and stable!

It's not by any means a new concept as there have been a number of tilting petrol powered machines in the past such as the Venderbrink Carver.  But, it's a bit unusual in electric bikes!

The tilting mechanism is controlled from a lever on the handlebars and it is just brilliant going round corners.  It'll take you a few minutes to get used to as it is indeed a unique way of riding a bike but there's no need to put your feet down at traffic lights and there's even a handbrake function for leaving it on hills!   Single front and dual rear lights powered from the battery are the icing on the cake!

As with all AlienOcean models, the trike can be used on the throttle from a standstill so pedalling is an option!   Range will be limited to a few miles if you don't pedal at all of course.

So, if you are looking for a machine that's a bit less obvious than a disability scooter then the unique tilting Vector might be your answer!    However, this is a bit of an experiment to see if there's a market for these so I only had a few made.  If you want one, please be quick as a new batch will be around fourteen weeks.
