The Apollo uses the Golden Motor 750 watt rear motor linked to a 36v 16Ah battery to provide real power which can only, of course, be used in an off road situation. It is extremely well built with a rugged aluminium frame able to withstand the torque and available speed and comes in with a Bright Blue or Bright Red (my personal favourite), both with carbon highlighted frame.

The 750w motor provides unbelievable power at all times and this is indeed a fast bike on the flat. However it'll also go up hills like they're simply not there. You can pull away from a standing start no problem whatsoever and it'll keep up with most traffic in town without pedalling. (Ooops - I didn't mean to say that - this bike is illegal for use on the UK public road network!)
Amazingly the bike even comes with a built-in "Cruise Control" function just like some cars. Get up to speed, press the Cruise button and the bike will maintain that speed. How useful is it? I really don't know but I suppose that, if you had long stretches where it was safe to use, then it could be really handy.
The motor is built into the rear hub and if you were to throw a set of panniers (available from our shop!) over the battery anyone would be hard pressed to say it was an electric bike far less an off road only one.
