The whole "AlienOcean" enterprise started off around three years ago when we were out cycling and my son and my wife used to leave me at the bottom of the hill to walk up (too much beer and crisps!) so I decided that I either get fitter or take the petrolhead easy way out.  I got on the net and found a company in China who could sell me motors and another one which had controllers and yet another one which had a throttle etc.   I imported a sample of each and modified my Claud Butler. 

One night I was out on the bike when a guy in the full lycra suit comes belting down the hill towards me, goes around the roundabout (they used that stretch for training), looks across at the fat, old, (not to mention nearly bald) guy on his bike and starts going up the hill again. Halfway up the hill he glances round, sees me to his left and just about falls off his bike!! I nearly ended myself there and then! 

I then decided that other people might like to be able to do that as well and the rest is history.   Getting the quality right from various Chinese suppliers took me a good year but things have generally turned out pretty well.

You would be buying a bike or a kit from someone who is one of the longest established independent electric bicycle and e-bike kit sellers in the U.K.  Well over eight hundred bikes and kits have been sold in the last year or so alone!  I know what the drawbacks are in many electric bikes; weight, battery technology, quality issues etc. and with the bikes and kits I think that I've eliminated most. 

Above all things, I try and treat all customers (and it's difficult sometimes!) exactly how I would expect to be treated myself.  I would only ask that, if you are a potential customer, that you show me the same courtesy and consideration - I am trying my best. 

The video above isn't, of course, me because that guy's much thinner for a start!  However, I thought that the video pretty much summed up what having an electric bike is all about.  The only differences between the bike in the video and an Alien version is that I can provide a solution from 250w road legal in the UK all the way up to 30+ mph "off road only". 

Also, you can just use the throttle on all the Alien bikes or kits from a standing start so it's a lot easier if you have any leg or back problems!  Oh, by the way, my solutions are a lot cheaper then the one in the video as well!
