48v, 1000w Conversion for your own 26" or 700C wheel bike...
Once again, as with the 36v off road only kits, these kits would immediately make your bike illegal to use on public roads! We therefore strongly recommend that they are used for off road only.
Ok, what can they do for me? Just take a look at the following video..... The motor being used is the same one as the Alien kit.
As you can see the 48v 1000w system is very powerful indeed! Most reports say anywhere up to 25mph or thereabouts is pretty standard so these kits are really pushing the boundaries of a standard bicycles abilities.
There are two types of 48v 1000w kits available - the first with the lead acid battery system as shown in the picture or a 48v LiFePO4 and rack similar to the 36v road legal kits. The system shown on the left consists of four lead acid batteries which are housed in a bag which is mounted on a rear rack. The one on the right is the 48v LiFePO4 and uses the slide in style rack.
There is only one difference in that, on the road legal kits, we provide a 12 months warranty on the batteries. Because these kits take so much more power than a 15Ah, 250w system we provide a six month warranty on the batteries. The other components are twelve months as normal.
The kit comes with a twist type throttle, contains the pedelec (pedal assist) components and comes with a rather smart integrated twin headlight and battery meter unit. Please note that the pedelec function is almost redundant and you are, in our opinion, better off not bothering to install it as you won't be able to pedal fast enough to keep up!
The kit comes with everything (please see below) you need to convert your bike including full and detailed instructions with easy to follow pictures!! (Took the pictures ourselves so no strange "lost in translation" Chinese words either!)

Notes: The width required between the forks to allow the motor wheel to fit is 100mm. If your forks taper, you need a minimum of 85mm at the narrowest point. The kit is primarily for V brakes as there is no integral fitment for a disc. Bar diameter for fitment of throttle is standard 22mm.
Plese note that because this kit uses a rear mounted battery carrier it has been impossible to design a universal fit as some bikes have lugs on the frame below the seat for mounting the carrier arms, some don't. You will therefore need to be a bit mechanically minded to fit this kit and may need additional fittings such as nuts and bolts over and above those supplied. Also, this kit is not for the faint hearted and you will have to be absolutely certain that your bike is capable of handling the power provided.
